Sestina! An Ode to the Gatekeeper
Once a upon a time there was a non-ordinary man, the gatekeeper
and all things in life were given to him, except Greatness,
which protected herself with words blowing in the wind.
Caution barricaded the door, prevented it from coming out. This key
he needed badly, so he could become whole, escaping the madness,
achieving happiness, and fulfilling the universal philosophy of love.
His first mistake was that he secretly loathed the power of love,
But like a blind man in the darkness, he did not see it. The gatekeeper
refused to relinquish his power and showed his hatred for Greatness,
a secret just below the surface, hidden by words blowing in the wind,
warning him of his own immortality, which he could not see. For the key
was covered in a red fury that locked him in a prison of the madness.
The gatekeeper felt safe because he could see the eyes in the wind,
Seduced by waiting moments, a fine line separated him from love.
they revealed to him that he would never find the key.
Not even prayer belonged in the damned world of the gatekeeper,
Where his word was law, and a spirit became a woman named Greatness.
Only the dark side needed the magic of the madness.
The gatekeeper could not fight his demons and drowned in madness.
He became destructive; Greatness prayed to the Ghost in the wind.
She visited him and he convinced her he had changed. But Greatness
was a fool. He unwisely stole her virginity with his echoes of love,
which were thinly veiled virtues of greed and lust. The gatekeeper
over time, he thought so much about himself, he forgot about the key.
An immortal named Seth, he lost himself and the answer to the key
He broke her heart, which is just what the dark side of the madness
wanted. But then he was fired from Up Above. That day, the gatekeeper
had the saddest day of his life. Warning words blowing from the wind
told him by succumbing to his fears, he would lose the promise of love.
He cried that night as he thought over his loses, including Greatness.
That night, the sky opened and clouds came down. Created by Greatness,
she wanted the world to feel his sorrow, which was tucked into a key
that he would never reach nor see again. He stopped believing in love
and the gates were locked for all time. By then the power of madness
had ravaged his body. The comfort he received was from the wind
outside. But the person inside was no longer the gatekeeper.
Wisdom evaporated at that moment. Not even the evilness of madness
could destroy this. Despite the warning from the wind, the key
to love was Greatness. This lesson became the story of the gatekeeper.
